George A. Bond

George A. Bond, 77, formerly of Cleveland Avenue, Wyomissing, died Oct. 26 in the Berks Heim Annex, where he had resided since Jan. 1.

He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Vernon) Bond.

Born in Franklin, Venango County, he was a son of the late George and Viola (Young) Bond.

Bond had been employed for 13 years as the marketing and industrial advertising manager of the American Meter Corp., Horsham, Montgomery County, last working in 1993. Earlier, Bond had been employed for 18 years as advertising manager by the Beryllium Corp., Muhlenberg Township.

He was a 1951 graduate of Temple University.

Bond was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is also survived by a son, George, Mohrsville, and two daughters, Linda S., Schwenksville, Montgomery County, and Dorothy G., Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a sister, Margaret (Bond) Eastlack, Houston.

There are also five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery, Valley Forge. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
