Genevieve M. Podgurski

Genevieve Mary (Kozak) Podgurski, 87, of Williams Township, Northampton County and formerly of Hain Ave., Muhlenberg Township, died February 23, 2007.

She was the widow of Michael F. Podgurski, who died April 5, 1992.

Born August 8, 1919 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late George and Agatha (Valus) Kozak.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Genevieve was employed 22 years as a technician with Western Electric, Muhlenberg Township before retiring in 1986.

She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia A. (Podgurski) widow of Joseph J. Sincavage with whom Genevieve last resided and a son, Daniel M. husband of Marcia A. (Henderson) Podgurski of Westtown Township, Chester County.

Other survivors include a sister, Helen (Kozak) Minick of Kenhorst and a brother Zygmond Kozak of Ruscombmanor Township.

There are also five grandchildren, Kristin Sincavage, Mark Sincavage, Brenda Podgurski, Timothy Podgurski and Mark Podgurski.

She was predeceased by a son, Michael G. Podgurski, who died November 14, 2003.

Genevieve was also predeceased by a brother, Edmund Kozak and a sister, Katherine (Kozak) Tkac.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park with a viewing one hour prior to mass in the church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Lane, West Lawn, PA 19609. Walter R.
