Genevieve Gantert

Genevieve (Kovach) Gantert, 90, of Reading, died December 16, 2008 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Her husband, Aloysius A. Gantert, died January 8, 1992.

Born in Dilles Bottom, Ohio on November 17, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Patka) Kovach.

She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Genevieve is survived by two sons, Theodore A., Reading and Aloysius J., husband of Susan, Elizabethtown, KY and two daughters, Anna E, wife of Nathaniel B. Nestor, Allentown and Genevieve H., wife of Robert Ritter, Smyrna, DE. Five grandchildren also survive her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. in St. Paul's R.C. Church, Reading. A viewing will be held Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Paul's Church, 151 North 9th Street, Reading, PA 19601.
