Gene H. Paris

Gene H. Paris, 93, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 in his West Lawn residence. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Wengert) Paris, with whom he shared 71 years.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Alessandro and Angela (Biagi) Paris. He graduated Wilson High School (Class of 1949). He was an insurance agent with Prudential for 31 years before his retirement in 1991. He loved all kinds of music and loved to dance.

Left to cherish his memory are wife, Pat; son, Jeffrey Paris (Karen) of Harrisburg; daughter, Diane Clayton (Michael) of Goldsboro, NC; grandsons: Anthony and Steven Paris of Boynton Beach, FL, and Michael Kehl (Lauren) of Bethlehem; great grandson, Dylan Paris; brother, John Paris of Reading; and sisters, Matilda Wright of Shillington, and Joann Peppers of Wyomissing.

Gene was preceded in death by brothers, Albert and Gerald Paris; and sister, Marie Madera.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue West Reading, PA 19611. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
