Gene Francis Kull, Sr., 69, of Laureldale, died August 14, 2009 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, where he had been a patient for two weeks.
He was the husband of Shirley Ann (Brigle) Kull, whom he married June 18, 1960.
Born September 4, 1939 in Reading, he was a son of the late Walter Leonard and Anna Florence (Ziegler) Kull.
Gene was employed as a press operator for Dana Corporation, Reading for 30 years, retiring in August, 1998.
He was a member of Spring Valley Church of God, Alsace Township.
He was a member of Victor Emmanuel II Beneficial Society and Central Fire Company, Laureldale.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being outdoors.
He loved NASCAR, football and going to Atlantic City.
In addition, he is also survived by a son Gene F., Jr., husband of Noura Kull and a daughter, Suzette J. (Kull), wife of Thomas H. Trostle of Muhlenberg Township.
There are also five siblings surviving: Jeannette A. (Kull) Drey of Flying Hills, William Kull of Reading, Patricia L. Adam of Brecknock Township, Frederick D. Kull of Venice, FL and Sally M. Moyer of Exeter Township.
Other survivors include three grandchildren, Jacqueline L. Kull, Angela L. Grabowski and Brianna S. Moore and six great grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
