Gene W. Goodhart, 57, died of natural causes May 16th in the Stabon Manor, Reading, where he had been since January 2005.
He was the widower of Silvia P. (Salgado) Goodhart.
Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Wallace S. and Jennifer V. (Kieta) Goodhart.
He was a graduate of Reading High School.
Goodhart was employed for a number of years as a baker and laborer for Mrs. Smith's Pie's, Pottstown, until his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter, Heather (Goodhart) Cox of Laureldale.
Other survivors include a sister, Alice (Long) Kerns of Lancaster and five brothers, Richard Long of Lancaster, John R. Long of Maytown, Jerry Long of Lititz, John Long Jr., of Sulfolk, VA and Charles Long of Lancaster.
There are also three grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
