Gary Lee Shupp

Gary L. Shupp, 49, of Hyde Park, died December 29 of natural causes in St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading.

He was the husband of Diane J. (Boyer) Shupp.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William H. and Violet M. (Schrader) Shupp.

Shupp was employed by Cambridge Lee, Ontelaunee Township, for 28 years as a millwright.

Shupp was the Shop Stewart for the United Steal Workers of America Local 6996.

He is survived by three sons, Gary L. Shupp II of Reading, Jason M. Shupp of Hamburg, and James H. Shupp of Hyde Park; and two daughters Nancy M. Shupp- Boyer of Reading and Rebecca L. Shupp of Laureldale.

Other survivors include one brother, Dennis J. Shupp of Bernville, and one sister Mary L. Shupp of Fleetwood. He is predeceased by one sister Carol A. (Shupp) Weller.

There are also 5 grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. There will be no burial. Friends may call from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Hope Rescue League, 645 N. 6th Street Reading, PA 19601.
