Gary P. Moyer

Gary Paul Moyer, 64, of Reading, died May 15, 2009 in his residence.

Born, September 19, 1944 in Allentown, he was a son of Paul Robert Moyer and the late Eleanor Elmira (Schauer).

Gary was a graduate of Reading High School in 1975 and Kutztown State College in 1975, where he received a B.S. in Education, majoring in Social Studies and History. He also attended Penn State University and a law school in San Francisco, CA.

He was employed as a purchasing agent for both Fred Hodges Bedding, Reading and Bachman Foods, Muhlenberg Township.

He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.

He is also survived by a sister, Gail K. Moyer of Savannah, GA.

In addition he is survived by two aunts, Lorraine D. (Schauer), widow of Buster R. Weiser and Virginia (Epting) Schauer of Kutztown and an uncle, Howard P., husband of Lorraine Schauer of Topton.

There are also five cousins surviving: Marshall, husband of Pamela Schauer; Mike Schauer; Brand, husband of Dao Schauer; Julie, wife of Ronald Fairman and Anne L. Schauer.

Gary is also survived by many other relatives.

Services will be Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.
