Gary F. Bowling

Gary F. Bowling, 71, passed away surrounded by his loving family, October 16, 2018, in Laurel Center, Tilden, Twp.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda A. (Frederick) Bowling, to whom he had been married to for 48 years.

Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Peggy M. (Fox) Bowling.

Â

Gary was a member of St. Mary R.C. Church, Hamburg.

Â

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.

Â

Gary was employed as a tow motor operator at Dana Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1999.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by a daughter, Angela M., wife of Kevin Gough, Upper Bern Twp., one granddaughter, Alicia M., one grandson, Dylan W., and one step grandson, Tyler J. Three sisters, Patricia, wife of Robert Berger, Bernville, Sharon Blaukowitch, and Mary Evans also survive him.

Gary was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Bowling, in 1972, one brother, Joseph Timmons, and one sister Diane Cope.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 11 a.m., in Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 South Fourth St., Hamburg. Burial will be in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary R.C.
