Gail Patricia Kahn

Gail Patricia Kahn, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Reading Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Harold L. Kahn, Jr., with whom she shared 20 years of marriage.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, Gail was the daughter of the late Donald, Sr. and Muriel (Mulrain) Brown. A graduate of Central Catholic High School in Allentown, she went on to study at Kutztown University, completing a Bachelors and Masters degree. Gail enjoyed a long career as a teacher and retired in 2002. In retirement, Gail and Harold enjoyed extended road trips across the country.

Gail was a matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Harold; sons, Richard Gates and Douglas Held; daughter, Laura Gates; stepson, Michael Kahn; stepdaughters, Wendy Rio and Kristin Kahn; nine grandchildren; and sisters: Joyce, Donna, and Lynn. She will be fondly remembered by a great number of people who had the privilege to be students in her classroom.

Services will be held on Friday, December 27th, 2024 at 12:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Reading.
