G. Frances Zitrick

Gerardine Frances Zitrick, 95, formerly of East Stroudsburg, PA, died July 10, 2008 in her Muhlenberg Township residence.

She was predeceased by her first husband of 15 years, Herman Trinkle, who died in August of 1951 and by her second husband of 48 years, John W. Zitrick, who died May 5, 2007.

Born July 15, 1912 in Morris Park, New York, she was a daughter of the late Edwin H. and Frances (Foy) Thompson.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Frances was known for her quick wit, was accomplished in the art of needlepoint and her love for classical music. She had been employed with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, New York City.

Her surviving children include: Robert husband of Susie Trinkle of Pasadena, Maryland, Peter widower of Veronica Trinkle of St. Petersburg, Florida, Gerard husband of Christine Trinkle of Monroe, New York; Marieann (Zitrick) wife of John Kesler of Kearneysville, West Virginia; Richard husband of Suzanne Zitrick of Sinking Spring; John W. Jr. husband of Barbara Zitrick of Alsace Township and James P. husband of Sharon Zitrick of Colleyville, Texas. There are also 26 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown Road, Hyde Park, with the Rev. Msgr. Dennis T. Hartgen celebrating and assisted by Deacon John Ford, nephew of the deceased. A viewing will be held Sunday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
