G. Richard "Rick" Rothenberger, 67, of Centre Township and Vero Beach, FL, died December 8, 2009 in his Pennsylvania residence.

He was the husband of Melissa T. (Tierney) Rothenberger.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John F. and A. Beatrice (Young) Rothenberger.

Rick was a graduate of both Wyomissing High School, 1959, and Iowa State University, 1963. Rick began working at the family business, Clover Dairy Farms, Inc., in 1959 and after earning his dairy engineering degree he became an owner/officer and manager of the business and in 1962 he became vice president. He would hold this title until his death.

He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Rick's life was his family, work and hobbies. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather; spending as much time as possible with his three children, three grandchildren and his many nieces, nephews and their families. He enjoyed driving, collecting and restoring rare automobiles.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Army Reserves as a Medic.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: John C., husband of Karen Rothenberger, Great Falls, VA; Richard F., husband of Jamie Rothenberger, Reston, VA and his daughter, Samantha A. Rothenberger, Winter Park, FL. Also surviving is his brother, John B., husband of Gloria Rothenberger, Wyomissing. There are three grandchildren surviving: Elizabeth, Christopher and Wyatt.

Memorial Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing. Inurnment will be private in Belleman's Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dr. Alex Olivi's Brain Cancer Research at John Hopkins Medicine. Please make checks payable to John Hopkins at One Charles Center, 100 N.
