G. Bradley Plunkett, 76, died August 27, 2010 in his Wyomissing residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Susan J. (Hill) Plunkett.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Barry J. and Dorothy (Vondersmith) Plunkett.
He was a 1952 graduate of Bel Air High School, MD and attended University of Maryland and Alvernia University.
Brad was a leasing consultant for Penske Truck Leasing for 25 years, retiring in 1998.
He was an avid bridge player and boater. He held a Captain's license from the U.S. Coast Guard and was an instructor at the SeaSchool, Baldwin, NY. He was an officer of the U.S. Power Squadron for over 15 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: Baron P.D. Plunkett, Baltimore, MD; Stephanie Frey, Baltimore and Judith Winters, Thomasville. Also surviving are his sisters: Beverly A. Wilson, Bel Air, MD and Mary Forris Everett, Aberdeen, MD and his sister in law, Phoebe Plunkett, Havre de Grace, MD. There are four grandchildren surviving: Seth A. Plunkett, Cassandra Gibson, Shayla Frey and Bradley A. Plunkett and 4 great grandchildren.
Bradley was predeceased by his son, G. Bradley Plunkett, Jr., and his brother, Dr. Barry J. Plunkett, Jr.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Whitfield. A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, P.O. Box 69 Mohnton, PA 19540. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
