Fricis Salks

Fricis Salks, 85, died May 6th at 8:40 pm in his residence at 3208 Stoudts Ferry Bridge Road, (Muhlenberg Township)Reading, Pa 19605.

He was the husband of Irene (Kanavins) Salks.

Born in Bukaiski, Latvia he was a son of the late Rafaels and Anna (Driza) Salkowskas.

He worked 34 years as a sales representative at Eastern Mill Works, St. Lawrence before retiring in 1983.

Salks was a member of Bucks County Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church, Quakertown.

He is also survived by two sons, Ingus P. Salks of Baja, California and Davis R. Salks of Hamburg.

Other survivors include a brother, Alexandris Salkowskas of Zhagari, Lithuania.

There are six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Monday at 1:00pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Avenue, West Lawn, Pa 19609.
