Frederick Wilk

Frederick Wilk, 67 of Muhlenberg Township died on January 2, 2007 at 6:17 p.m. in his residence.

Born on December 15, 1940 in Reading he was a son to the late William T. and Annie E. (Schmehl) Wilk.

Frederick was employed by the Wyomissing School District as a custodian, where he retired from in 2005.

He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

Frederick was a member of the Salvation Army, Reading and the Goodwill Beneficial Association, Hyde Park.

Surviving are sisters; Sarah E. (Wilk) wife of Andrew V. Wablonski, Reading; Betty M. (Wilk), wife of Richard E. Dautrich, Reading and Barbara A. (Wilk), widow of Henry E. Truckermiller, Wernersville.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Frederick was predeceased by three brothers; Charles Wilk, Robert Wilk and Walter Wilk and two sister; Helen (Wilk) Truckermiller and Florence E. (Wilk) Kline.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
