Frederick L. Wagner, 87, of Ruscombmanor Township, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 in his residence.

He was the husband of Ruth B. (Breitegam) Wagner.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Paul H. and Esther M. (Bankes) Wagner.

He was employed as a machinist at Textile Machine Works for 40 years, retiring in 1986.

He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II and a member of Salem Shalters Lutheran Church, Alsace Township, where he served as a former council member and financial secretary.

Fred enjoyed volunteering at the Oley Valley Community Fair, but his most enjoyment came from admiring nature and tending to his garden.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two Daughters: Donna L. Lucas of St Petersburg, Florida and Dawn E. Reiter of Exeter Township. Also surviving are his Sisters: Alyce Ford of Wyomissing and Carole Wesner of Pottsville. He is also survived by his Grandchildren: Jeffrey, MaryEllen, Chelsea and Amanda and his Great Grandchildren: Jamia, Brieanna and Anthony. He was predeceased by a Brother: Richard and his Sisters: Gloria and Geraldine.

Services will be held in Salem Shalters Lutheran Church, 2032 Mount Laurel Avenue, Fleetwood, Pa. 19522 on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Schwarzwald Cemetery, Jacksonwald. Family and friends are invited to view on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley. There will be no viewing on Thursday at church. Contributions in Fred's memory may be made to the church at the above address.
