Frederick G. Solley

Frederick G. Solley Sr., 75, of Perry Township, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 in his residence. He was born in Williamsport, PA., the son of the late Reynold R. and Mildred (Wooden) Solley. Frederick was the husband of the late Marion (Miller) Solley who passed in 2002, the late Delores (Padis) Solley who passed in 1986 and was predeceased by his companion the late Arline A. Weitzel who passed in February He worked as a carpenter & cabinet maker for Radcliffe & Son's in Horsham, PA retiring in 1977. He was a member of Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny. He was an active fisherman and an avid train collector. He loved his garden and woodworking. He was survived by 5 children, Daughters; Ellen L. wife of John Schuster of Quakertown, PA, Carol A. wife of James Cioci of Forest Grove, PA, Marion B. wife of John Schwartz or Warminster, PA and April L. wife of Michael Landes of Ottsville, PA. Son; Frederick G. Solley Jr. husband of Melody of Horsham, PA; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; Sisters Nancy Pollack of New Jersey and Sally Thomas of Berks Co. Frederick was predeceased by a daughter Gwen E. Krauss who passed in 1993. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 3 at 11:00 AM in the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny Twp.
