Frederick R. Jablonski

Frederick R. Jablonski, 69, died of natural causes April 27 at 8:32 a.m. in his residence in Spring Township.

He was the husband of Judith (Curtis) Richards Jablonski. His first wife, JoAnne (Kollar) Jablonski, died in April 1988.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Gustav and Florence (Zborowski) Jablonski.

Jablonski was employed for 33 years at Carpenter Technology Corp., retiring as production planning manager in 1992.

He was a 1954 graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School.

Jablonski was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield, where he served as travel director for the church's seniors group from 2000 to 2005.

Jablonski is also survived by two daughters, Karen L. (Jablonski) Goodwillie, Lower Heidelberg Township, and Andrea L. (Jablonski) Maras, Sinking Spring.

Other survivors include a stepson, Andrew L. Richards, Mohnton; and two stepdaughters, Deborah L. (Richards) Bewley, Mohrsville, and Susan L. (Richards) Keller, Somerdale, N.J.

Also surviving are a brother, Raymond, Memphis, Tenn.; and three sisters: Helen (Jablonski) Seigle, Wyomissing; Jean (Jablonski) Jackson, Reading; and Josephine (Jablonski) Magee, Sinking Spring.

There are also 10 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Friends may call from 10 to 11 at St. Ignatius Loyola Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Loyola Church Memorial fund 2810 St. Albans Drive Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
