Frederick J. Stankiewicz

Frederick J. Stankiewicz, 87, of Reading, passed away Thursday July 21, 2022, at St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of Jean A. (Hartz) Stankiewicz. They celebrated 65 years of marriage one day before his passing.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Mack and Mamie (Lempas) Stankiewicz.

He retired from the Eastern Foundry Company in Boyertown after 43 years of service.

Frederick was U.S. Army veteran.

A true fighter with a giant spirit to match, Frederick was a hard-working family man. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sharon, wife of Skip Derecola, Pottstown and Lorie wife of Johnny Ferraro, Sinking Spring; two grandchildren, Jessica, wife of Kyle Simonye, and Austin Ferraro; and one great-grandson, Connor Simonye. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Babula and Elizabeth Milanek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday July 27, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606 with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Contributions may be made to St Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church at the above address.
