Frederick Haufler

Frederick H. Haufler, Jr., 66, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 11, 2023, while enjoying a perfect day in Ocean City, MD. He was the loving husband of Lana J. (Fryer) Haufler, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia to Marjorie (Hamilton) Haufler of Charleston, SC, and the late Frederick H. Haufler Sr., Fred graduated in 1975 from Muhlenberg Sr. High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy, and after his discharge, married his sweetheart, Lana, and earned his Associates Degree from Southside Virginia Community College.

For over 17 years Fred has worked with Exeter Supply Company as a product specialist. He was a very gifted salesperson.

Lana and Fred raised two strong daughters, of whom he was very proud. Fred was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Lana, and his mother, Fred's memory will be treasured by his daughters, Kristen L. Kupperman (Andrew) of Anchorage, AK, and Lauren J. Haufler of Reading; grandson, Elliott Kupperman; and his sisters, Laura Longenecker (Donald) of Folly Beach, SC, and Jennifer Mulberry (Errin) of Yankton, SD. He was predeceased by his father and his sister, Bethanne Haufler.

Services for Frederick will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611, with the visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Committal Services with military honors will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
