Frederick D. Crossland

Frederick D. Crossland, 90, of Laureldale, passed away December 22, 2011 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

His wife, Sarah G. (Clouser) Crossland, died in 1991.

Born in Ontelaunee Township, he was the son of the late Fred and Rose (Dickinson) Crossland.

He was a shipping clerk for Polymer Corp for 16 years.

Frederick was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, serving in WWII in Warton, England.

He was a member of Rosedale U.C.C. Church, Laureldale.

He is survived by his son, William A. Nagle, Laureldale, his grandchildren, Beth Allison Kring, Muhlenberg Twp., Brooke Allison Forrer, Beverly Hills, and his great grandchildren, Theordore and Madleine Forrer, and Sarah Kring.

Frederick was predeceased by his seven siblings: Catherine Hall, Mary Adams, Edith Shoemaker, Esther Tobias, Helen Hinnershitz, William Crossland and Ralph Crossland.

Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.christfuneralhome.com.
