Frederick C. Kellenberger, 90, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at Reading Hospital.
Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Robert N. and Hilda C. (Neff) Kellenberger. Frederick was a graduate of Reading High School and then served honorably for nine years in the Marine Corps. After his military service, he was employed for 40 years in the warehouse department of Textile Chemicals in Leesport until his retirement.
Frederick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia M. (Sassor) Kellenberger, who passed away in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers Richard, William, Harry, John, and James Kellenberger; and sisters Doris, Ruth, and Patricia.
He is survived by his loving children: daughter Monica Kozlowski, wife of Kevin, of Dover, Delaware; sons Bryan T. Kellenberger of Warminster, Frederick S. Kellenberger and his wife, Shannon, of Bernville, and Steven K. Kellenberger and his wife, Tina, of Shillington. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition, Frederick is survived by his brothers, Edwin and George Kellenberger, and his sister, Eleanor, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 322 South Fifth St, Reading PA 19602. A viewing will be held Thursday morning from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, PA 19611. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Laureldale.
