Fred H. Mulligan

Fred H. Mulligan, 80, of Shillington, died December 1, 2008, in Reading Hospital.

He was the dedicated husband of Evelyn E. (Gregory) Mulligan.

Born in Piedmont, South Carolina on August 6, 1928, he was the second of four sons of Van H. and Lucille (Clark) Mulligan.

Fred was employed as a clerk for the U.S.P.S. in Mt. Vernon and White Plains, NY for 25 years.

He was in the U.S. Army from 1948-1952 serving one year in Korea in 1951; and the U.S. Navy from 1952-1970, serving in Vietnam 1966-1967.

Fred was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by three children; Michael G., husband of Yvette Mulligan, Reading; Mark H. husband of Ayumi Mulligan, Mt. Vernon, NY; and Laura Mulligan, fiancee of Michael DeJesus, New Rochelle, NY.

There are also four grandchildren; Shannon, Daniel, Kristen and Kevin Mulligan.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611.
