Franklin E. Yoder

Franklin E. Yoder, 84 formerly of Oley and currently of Perry Township died May 23 rd in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Lydia A. (Mohn) Yoder. Franklin was born in Alsace Township and was the son of the late Lewis E. and Beulah E. (Conrad) Yoder. Franklin was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked for 28 years as a welder for Empire Steel Castings, Inc. and last worked as a heavy equipment operator for Highway Materials Inc., Temple. In addition to his wife, Franklin is survived by a son, John L. Yoder, Perry Township, a daughter, Lori E. Yoder, Oley, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. 3 children, Barbara A., Richard E. and Scott C. Yoder, predeceased him. Services and burial will be private with full military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
