Franklin R. Tarnoski, 70, died August 30 at 2:55 a.m. in his Wyomissing Park residence.
He was the husband of Lorraine (Lori) M. (Palumbo) Tarnoski.
Born in Reading he was a son of the late Peter and Julia (Pieja) Tarnoski.
Frank was a steel worker for Bethlehem Steel for 25 years retiring in 1992.
He attended Reading Catholic High School, where he starred in basketball and baseball. He was named 3rd Team All-State in basketball in 1953.
Frank was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Frank was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed bird watching.
He is also survived by one son, Franklin Robert, Jr. husband of Darlene, and 3 step-grandchildren of Murrieta, CA. Other survivors include three brothers, Richard, George and Robert all of Reading.
Frank was predeceased by one brother, Edward.
