Franklin F. Ramer, 75, of St. Lawrence, passed away the morning of Monday, December 26, 2016, in Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Pamela (Taylor) Ramer, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.
Born in Reading on July 15, 1941, he was the son of the late Gerald J. and Dorothy M. (Stichter) Ramer.
Frank graduated from Reading High School in 1960.
He was employed by the Polymer Corporation as a machinist for 35 years. After his retirement in 1997, he worked for Zeb Machine until retiring from there in 2013.
Frank was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed traveling, reading, and was a whiz at doing jigsaw puzzles. He loved to follow the New York Giants and all the Notre Dame sports teams, but most of all, he loved spending time with "his girls."
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Debra M. (Ramer), wife of Michael A. Donley, Bernville, as well as his granddaughter, Yeardley Y. Burns. He is also survived by his two brothers, Ronald G. Ramer, husband of Geraldine, and LeRoy A. Ramer, husband of Patricia. Four nieces and one nephew also survive him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at St. John's Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, PA 19608, officiated by Rev. Robert Ziehmer. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The Ramer family strongly suggests, NO FLOWERS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Frank's memory to the American Cancer Society, 498 E Bellevue Ave, Reading, PA 19605. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc.
