Frank P. Trumpio, 83, formerly of North 2nd Street, Reading was pronounced dead on arrival on July 23rd in San Clemente Medical Center, California.
He was married November 21, 1942 to Helen A. (Giovanelli) Trumpio, San Clemente, Ca.
Born in Utica, NY he was a son of the late Joseph and Rachel (Pingitore) Trumpio.
He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and graduated with honors from Tri State university (Indiana) in 1938.
Trumpio was a World War II Army Veteran of the Pacific Theater.
He was employed for a number of years as a Mechanical Engineer for the Textile Machine Works and he holds many patents related to the textile industry in particular the invention of the high speed seamless panty hose machine. He continued in this field until his retirement from Barber-Colman in 1986 as Chief Scientist Engineer.
Trumpio is survived by a son; Joseph M. husband of Susan D. Trumpio of San Clemente, Ca., and a daughter; Barbara M. (Trumpio) wife of Michael Charnoff of Reading, Pa.
He is also survived by a brother; John Trumpio of Utica, Ny., and two sisters; Philomena Trumpio and Margaret (Trumpio) Saccoia both of Utica, Ny.
Other survivors include four grandchildren; Jason and Briana Trumpio and Anthony and Johnna Miller. There is also four great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday August 5th at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Scleroderma Foundation, 12 Kent Way, Suite 101, Byfield, MA 01922. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
