Frank Oliviero

Frank Oliviero, 85, of Reading, died December 20, 2008, in Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Paul and Rose (Gergenti) Oliviero.

He served in the U.S. Army in Italy during World War II. Frank also served in the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Frank was employed by Carpenter Steel for 20 years, retiring in 1986.

He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Frank is survived by his son, Dennis P. Oliviero and his sister, Virginia Oliviero, both of Reading. Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Oliviero, and two sisters, Rose Oliviero and Anita O. Czarnecki.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Church. A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 to 9 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery.
