Frank Marte

Frank Marte, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Belkis Zapata Marte.

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Rumaldo Marte and Clemencia Vera. After graduating from high school, Frank learned and became an iron worker. He was part of rebuilding the World Trade Center after the 9/11 attack. He was also part of building the New York Yankee Stadium. He was a member of the the Iron Workers Local 46 union.

Frank is survived by his wife, Belkis, sons: Edward Marte, Kenrry Marte, Edinson Lorenzo, Francis De La Cruz, Hector De La Cruz, and daughters Xiomara Marte and Delkis De La Cruz. Frank also had 11 grandchildren. Frank had five brothers and two sisters. He survived by his brothers: Nelson Marte, Ruben Marte, Vinicio Marte, and Winston Marte. He was predeceased by Rafael Marte, Reineida Marte, and Eunice Marte.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 at Williams Funeral Homes from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Bronx, NY with interment at Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers, NY on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
