Frank Kopteros

Frank Kopteros, 100, of Spring Township, passed away, Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Reading Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Henrietta (Venezia) Kopteros who passed away October 10, 2008. They shared 66 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John and Vasiliki (Vaporellis) Kopteros.

Frank was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Lincoln Park Congregation.

He was employed by various manufacturing industries in his lifetime, retiring from Western Electric in 1981.

Frank was a very kind, caring and loving Father any child could ever ask for.

He was an avid Phillies fan. Frank was quick to tell stories of his memorable days of dancing and seeing many of the Big Band Orchestras.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Carole, wife of Spencer Wertz; his son, John M. Kopteros, husband of Marcia; and daughter, Christine, wife of Michael Batastini. Eight grandchildren, six-teen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild also survive him.

Frank was predeceased by two granddaughters, two great grandsons, a brother, Peter Kopteros, and a sister Georgia Agnello.

Services will be Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
