Frank Kline, 99, formerly of Laureldale, died January 25, 2008 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where he had been a resident since 1996.
He was married June 27, 1936 to the late Sarah M. (Blatt) Kline, who died October 27, 2007.
Born in Reading on October 4, 1908, he was a son of the late Frank and Bessie May (Shultz) Kline.
He was the last living member of the 1926 graduating class of Ontelaunee High School.
Frank was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale, where he also served on Church Council.
He was employed as a master plumber with Walter H. Fritz & Co., West Reading for 28 years before retiring as the Vice President in 1971.
Frank served as Secretary for 8 years with the Plumbers Local #42, now UA, Local #690 of Philadelphia.
He was also the Plumbing Inspector and on the Board of Health for the Borough of Laureldale for 24 years.
Frank is survived by two sons, Richard D. husband of Sharon L. (Dietrich) Kline of Bethlehem and Robert L. husband of Linda L. (Fetterman) Kline of London, Ontario.
Other survivors include five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three siblings; J. Denton Kline, Margaret Kline and Elizabeth Kline.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1009 Elizabeth Avenue, Laureldale, with the Rev. Grant A. Wickert officiating. A viewing will be held in the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in North Heidelberg Church Cemetery.
