Frank G. Karish

Frank G. Karish, 76, died February 15, 2009 in his Muhlenberg Twp residence.

He was the husband of Joan L. (Nelson) Karish.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John and Alice (Slingsbee) Karish.

He was an electrician for Textile Machine Works and later Rockwell International for 38 years retiring in 1998.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, James R., husband of Robin, Kutztown; Diane L. Henry, Bernville and Patrick J., at home. There are also two sisters, Joann Falasco, Hawaii and Jacqueline Smith, Mt. Penn. Five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by one brother, John Karish.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
