Frank L. Gulko, Jr., 68, died October 26, 2011 in his Sinking Spring residence.
He was the husband of Sandra L. (Austin) Gulko, to whom he was married for 45 years.
Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Frank and Josephine (Wojciechowski) Gulko.
He was a graduate of St. Clair Area Joint High School in 1961, where he was a member of the National Honor Society.
Frank was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a design draftsman for Infinera, Allentown. Previously, he was a draftsman for AT&T, Lucent and Agere from 1979 to 2002; and served in the same capacity at Rockwell International from 1965 to 1975.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sinking Spring.
Frank had a passion for gardening, a love of sports and, most importantly, spending quality time with his grandchildren.
He looked forward to his monthly "no-cube" nights with his friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Pamela B., wife of Christopher Yocum, Annville; and his sister, Joanne M., wife of Joseph E. Yokitis, Wernersville. Three grandchildren, Trevor, Laney and Savannah also survive him.
He was predeceased by one sister, Charlotte Auman.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
