Frank L. Ferko

Frank L. Ferko, 81, of Wyomissing, passed away on July 7, 2023 at home. Born in Reading, PA he was the son of the late Frank and Cecelia Ferko and was the loving husband of Dolores (Podlasek) Ferko, married on October 12, 1968.

Frank was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Reading, PA. He was a member of St. Ignatius RCC, Whitfield.

Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a self-employed insurance agency owner.

Frank was a big Phillies and Eagles fan, enjoyed watching Big Five basketball, and was an avid golfer. But most of all, he loved going to his grandkids' sporting and dance events. The summer vacations with his family in Wildwood Crest, NJ were especially memorable. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife throughout the United States and numerous countries abroad.

Frank coached youth baseball and soccer when his children were younger. He was a member of the Wyomissing Hills Recreation Association.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores A. Ferko, daughter, Marcia L., wife of Darren Weiss, and son, Timothy F., husband of Christy Shippen-Ferko. Also surviving are four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 11 am at St. Ignatius RCC, 2600 St Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19609. Friends and relatives may greet the family at 10 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center BLVD, Philadelphia, PA 19104-4399. Edward J.
