Frank E. Janiszewski, 81, of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center on July 2, 2010.
He was the husband of Josephine M. (Nigrelli) Janiszewski. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in January.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Andrew and Bertha (Pawlowski) Janiszewski.
Frank was employed by Sunshine Brewery, City of Reading and the Borough of Wyomissing in the Streets Department, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Reading.
Frank was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII and awarded the Victory Medal.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his three children: Frank A., husband of Sharon Janiszewski, Sinking Spring; David A., husband of Cynthia Janiszewski, Sinking Spring and Georgene A., wife of David Zielinski, Sinking Spring. He is also survived by his six siblings: John, Reading; Bertolette, Reading; Carl, Douglasville; Eugene, Alpharetta, GA; Robert, Sinking Spring and Joan Parker, Florida. There are five grandchildren surviving: Andrew, Amy, Jessica, Kathleen and Megan.
Frank was predeceased by his brother, Andrew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading, PA 19602. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. A viewing will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Home Health Care & Hospice 4 Park Plaza Rd North Suite 105A, Wyomissing, PA 19610 or to Holy Rosary R.C. Church at the above address.
