Francis E. Stairiker

Francis E. Stairiker, 84, of Wyomissing, died November 28, 2006 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.

His wife, Margaret M. (Killackey) Stairiker, died May 9, 1996.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Stairiker.

He was a forecaster for ARCO in Philadelphia and later in Montello for 40 years retiring in 1986.

Mr. Stairiker earned his Associates Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Penn State University, Abington.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Francis was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Francis E. husband of Judith (Burns) Stairiker, Elkins Park, Joseph M. husband of Deborah (Wickham) Stairiker, Wyomissing and William P. Stairiker, York and two daughters, Claire M. (Stairiker) wife of Michael Nicolazzo, Haddonfield, NJ and Colette M. (Stairiker) wife of Robert J. Staub, Jr., Lower Pottsgrove. There are also one brother, Joseph Power, Runnemede, NJ and two sisters, Joan (Power) wife of Alexander Arrow, Marco Island, FL and Mary (Power) wife of Pat Sasso, Glendora, NJ. Sixteen grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Shillington. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
