Francis Jay Ross

Francis Jay "Frank" Ross, 70, of Reading, passed away September 25, 2017, in the Reading Hospital.

Born in Pigeon, Michigan, he was the son of the late John Francis and Lydia Belle (Sweet) Ross.

Frank graduated from Laker High School in Michigan and attended Central Michigan University where he achieved his bachelors degree in education.

He spent years in southern states working and volunteering for the U.S. government under the VISTA program.

Frank traveled to Pennsylvania and settled there after falling in love with the country. He spent the rest of his working years employed by Boscov's in the food service and catering business as a chef.

Frank is survived by four siblings, Leota Gillespie, Three Rivers MI; Wiletta Ferguson, Caseville, MI; Larry Ross, Fenton, MI, and Cathey Eimers, Unionville, MI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, special friends: Stephen and Bettina Bonner, and a host of friends and coworkers.

He was predeceased by siblings, Erdene Saylor, Erlene Horton, Paul Ross, and Delos Ross.
