Francis Henry Knause

Francis Henry Knause, 84, died September 13, 2010 in his Cumru Township residence.

He was the husband of Betty Jane (Klopp) Knause.

Born in Hamburg, he was a son of the late Harry J. and Ella A. (Nolan) Knause.

Francis was a 1943 graduate of Hamburg High School.

He was a draftsman for Carl Eisenhower Architecture for over 25 years. In 1989 he became a self employed draftsman, working for numerous firms.

Francis was a past president of the Berks County Architectural Society.

He was a member of St. Benedict's R.C. Church, Robeson Township.

Francis was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Thomas F., husband of Donna Reed Knause, Reading. Also surviving is his sister, Margaret Bassett, Fort Mill, S.C. and his grandson, Harry T.R. Knause.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Benedict's R.C. Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd., Robeson Township, PA 19540. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Benedict's R.C. Church at the above address. Edward J.
