Frances W. Carter

Frances W. (Worth) Carter, 80, of Mohnton, died December 13, 2007 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been a patient for 11 days.

She was the widow of Howard R. Carter, who died March 26, 1980.

Born October 31, 1927 in Bemidji, Minn., she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Hanna (Maltrud) Worth.

She was a 1945 graduate of Bemidji High School.

Frances is survived by a daughter, Lynn M. wife of Ronald Coleman of Williamstown, PA and two sons, Howard R. Jr., husband of Andrea R. (Bugay) Carter of Sinking Spring and Brian D. Carter of Mohnton.

There is also a sister surviving, Helen Souder of Guin, Alabama.

Other survivors include five grandchildren; Antonette A. Rosenmerkel, Michael Coleman, Jesse Coleman, Patrick Coleman and David Rettberg and three great grandchildren; Spencer, Dylan and Owen.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
