Frances M. Smith

Frances M. Smith, 67, of Penn Avenue, Wyomissing, died of natural causes April 4 at 6 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had been a patient since March 10.

She was the wife of Charles R. Smith.

Born in Miami, she was a daughter of the late Emil R. and Gertrude (Lane) Johnson.

Smith had been employed for 20 years as a private-duty licensed practical nurse.

She is also survived by a daughter, Madaline (Seymour) Mak, West Palm Beach, Fla.

Other survivors include two brothers, Robert Johnson, Miami, and Bennie Johnson, Andrews, N.C.; and two sisters, Ruby (Johnson) Coosey, Miami, and Mary (Johnson) Lyons, Jacksonville, Fla.

There are also four grandchildren.

Smith was predeceased by a son, Gene Seymour, in July 2002.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading.
