Frances G. Post

Frances G. Post, 97, of Wyomissing, died August 19, 2010 in The Highlands at Wyomissing.

Her husband, Dr. Carl B. Post, died September 28, 1982.

Born in Steubenville, OH she was a daughter of the late Richard and Julia (McHugh) Gaughan.

She was a graduate of Steubenville High School and attended Business School in Steubenville, OH.

Frances was employed as a secretary for Ohio Power Company.

She was an avid reader, golfer, traveler and card player.

Frances was a member of The St. Joseph Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Reading Symphony Orchestra Auxiliary and the Berkshire Country Club.

She was a charter resident of the Highlands at Wyomissing and a former resident of Sea Island, GA.

She was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading.

She is survived by her four sons: Carl B., husband of Grace Post, Eggertsville, NY; John R., husband of Maryanne Post, Wyomissing; George F., husband of Sandra Post, Wyomissing and Peter D. Post, Presto, PA. Also surviving is her brother, Regis M. Gaughan, Pittsburgh. There are 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren surviving.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 701 Franklin St., West Reading, PA 19611. A viewing will be held 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sacred Heart R.C.
