Frances Patricia Mary Lisney

Frances Patricia Mary Lisney, 73, died on January 4, 2008 in her Muhlenberg Township Residence.

She was the wife of James Ernest Lisney whom she married on January 1, 1957.

Born on August 13, 1934 in Croydon, England she was a daughter to the late Francis and Margaret Nina (Clements) Hogan.

Frances graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School, Croydon, England in 1949.

She worked in England as a pre-school teacher's aide as well as in a nursing home as a general nurse. After moving to the United States, she held various jobs for the Muhlenberg School district.

Frances is a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Also surviving are five children: Bernadette M. (Lisney), wife of Paul A. Kutch of Cumru Twp.; Ivan D., husband of Mary A. (Mell) Lisney of Maidencreek Twp.; Paul A., husband of Julie A. (Hill) Lisney of Cumru Twp.; Mark T., husband of Paula J. (Knox) Lisney of Gap, PA and Michael J. Lisney of Temple.

There are also nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Frances was predeceased by a sister, Dolores (Hogan) Clarkson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's R.C. Church, 151 N. 9th Street, Reading. A visitation will be held one hour prior to mass in the church. Inurnment will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
