Frances L. "Lucy" (Chelius) LaRue, 86, formerly of Shillington, a resident of the Highlands at Wyomissing, passed away October 28, 2008 in Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Haller G. LaRue.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Mark B. and Dorothy (Miller) Chelius.

She was a 1940 graduate of Reading High School.

Lucy was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Haller G. LaRue, Jr., husband of Kathy Gees-LaRue, Reading and John P., husband of Diane LaRue, Corpus Christi, TX, and a daughter, Elizabeth L., wife of William F. Price III., Reading.

Other survivors include a brother, John Chelius, Reading and three sisters, Louise, widow of Howard Wertman, Cleveland, OH; Elizabeth, widow of William O'Connell, Wyomissing, and Mary Ellen, wife of Robert Liptak, Greenville, S.C.

Lucy was also survived by eight grandchildren, Amy Ciervo; Haller LaRue III.; Andrew LaRue; Peter LaRue; John LaRue; Mark LaRue; Elizabeth Duncan; Julia Nickey, and nine great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Chelius.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church, 420 Holland St., Shillington, PA. 19607. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown. Friends may call Saturday 8:00-9:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
