Frances C. Eckenroth

Frances C. Eckenroth, 84, of River Avenue, Providence, R.I., formerly of Brobst Street, Shillington, died Sept. 12 in her residence.

Her husband, Arthur Eckenroth, died Dec. 16, 1988.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Bronislaw and Mary (Guziejewski) Zychewicz.

Eckenroth was last employed for six years as a legal secretary by attorney Herb Karasin, Reading, retiring in September 2001.

She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

Eckenroth was a 1937 graduate of Reading High School.

She was a former secretary of the Iris Club, Wyomissing, and the Reading High School Alumni Association.

Eckenroth is survived by a daughter, Christine A. (Eckenroth) Kelly, Providence; and two sons, R. Michael, Providence, and Thomas K., Reading.

Other survivors include a sister, Dorothy (Zychewicz) Haas, Shillington; and four grandchildren.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 11 at 8 a.m. in St. John Baptist Church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
