Frances Deangelis

Frances (Armao) DeAngelis, 97, formerly of Spring Township, passed away November 7, 2016, in Pheobe Healthcare Center.

Her husband, Lt. Colonel (U.S. Army Retired) Alfred DeAngelis, died December 9, 2014.

Born October 31, 1919 in Reading, she was the last survivor of ten children to the late Francesco and Antonina (Cariola) Armao.

She was a retail sales director for Wanamaker's Department Store.

Frances was one of the original members of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield, where she was co-chairman of the parish picnic.

She was an avid seamstress and baker.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Nina M. (DeAngelis), wife of David Rowley, Exeter Township; two grandchildren: Matthew, husband of Emily Rowley, Havertown; and Katie Rowley, Exeter Township; and great granddaughter, Sadie Elizabeth Rowley, Havertown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R. C. Church 2810 St. Albans Dr, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Phoebe Berks Village Gardens 9 Heidelberg Dr., Wernersville, PA 19565 or Pheobe Healthcare Memory Support, 1 Heidelberg Dr., Wernersville, PA 19565.
