Florence M. "Judy" Williams, 72, of Reading, died February 25, 2011 in St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was the wife of Leon B. Williams, Sr., whom she married on March 8, 1958.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Miriam (Kline) Schwarz.

She was a dietary cook for St. Joseph's Hospital and the head cook for Wegman Reeser's Restaurant, Reading.

Judy loved music. She was the lead singer for the group Pretzel City Four, along with her father, brother and two sisters. She also played on Shorty Long's Santa Fe Ranch, which was televised live and played alongside Tammy Wynette on the Ed Sullivan Show. Judy was also very giving, she ran Santa's Little Helpers out of her home to bring Christmas joy to children who were less fortunate.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five children: Leon B., Williams, Jr., Reading; Theresa J., wife of Keith W. McCulley, Reading; Kevin D., husband of Ibis M. Williams, Vidalia, GA; Albert W. Williams, Sr., Reading and Kenneth D., husband of Traci Williams, Wyomissing. Also surviving are her five siblings: Carolyn, Albert, Theresa, Alberta and Dorothy. 18 grandchildren: Stacey, Keith Jr., Wesley, Brandon, Cassandra, Kevin Jr., Melissa, Heather, Dylan, Serena, Caterina, Lily, Christopher, Albert Jr., Jeromy, Catrina, Starlene, Angela and 7 great-grandchildren: Kenny III, Mariah, Alyazia, Christian, Luke, Marissa and Sami survive her.

She was predeceased by her brother, Tommy, her sister, Kathryn and her daughter, Melissa.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be Tuesday 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leon B. Williams, Sr., to help defray the cost of the funeral.
