Florence M. Welder

Florence M. (Kurtz) Welder, 93, formerly of Bleeker Avenue, Kenhorst, died April 10th at 9:55 am in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township where she had been since January 16th.

She was the widow of Nelson P. Welder, who died March 16, 1996.

Born in Gibraltar, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Albert Kurtz and Bessie (White) Kurtz Matz.

She worked at Baldwin Brass, Reading for 35+ years as an assembler and packer until her retirement in 1988.

Welder previously worked as a forewoman for 20 years at Nolde's Manufacturing Plant.

She is also survived by two sisters, Emily (Kurtz) Shirey of Reading and Shirley (Kurtz) Hartman of Valrico, Florida.

There are also two grandchildren and two great grandsons.

She was predeceased by a son Robert B. Welder who died March 7, 1990.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Viewing will be 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
