Florence L. Reist

Florence Luella Reist, 97 of Arden Courts, Allentown, died October 15, 2008 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hospice Unit, Allentown, where she had been a patient since October 2.

She was married to the late Augustus Stepp Reist who died July 24, 1999.

Born May 13, 1911 in Boyertown, she was a daughter of the late William and Rebecca (Leffel) Bieber.

She was a member of Frieden's Lutheran Church, Oley.

Surviving are three children, Madelyn A. (Reist) Kendall of Placentia, CA; Linda M. (Resit) Dutko of Allentown, PA and Daniel A., husband of Dianne D. (Dougherty) Reist of Ruscombmanor Township.

In addition there are seven surviving grandchildren: Kai W. and Renata P. Kendall, Scott J., Jeffrey R. and Christopher L. Dutko, Pamela M. (Reist) Rineck and Michael L. Reist.

There are also seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Florence was predeceased by a son, David H. Reist, two grandchildren, David A. Reist and Ramona I. Kendall, a sister Annie Ehrgood and a brother Harold Bieber.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held an hour prior to services. Burial will be in Pricetown Cemetery, Ruscombmanor Township.
