Florence H. Miller

Florence H. Miller, 92, formerly of Reading died October 25, 2010 in the Mifflin Center.

Her husband, Howard F. Miller, died January 12, 1983.

Born in Swarthmore, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Laura G. (Daugh) Matz.

Florence was part owner and operator of Miller's Drive In, Sinking Spring from 1968 to 1983. Previously she had worked at Western Electric from 1959 to 1968. After retirement she worked part time at Friendly's in Shillington.

She is survived by her son, Barry H., husband of Sharon A. Miller, Sinking Spring; her sisters: Laura Matz, Reading and Agnes Hilbert, Matthew, NC and her grandchildren: Stephen Miller, Anniston, AL, Stephanie Hunsberger, Wernersville and Michele Solaroli, Newport News, VA. Seven great-grandchildren: Wyatt Hunsberger, Isabella Solaroli, Harrison Hunsberger, Gabrielle Solaroli, Andrew Miller, Maggie Miller and Benjamin Miller also survive her.

Florence was predeceased by three sisters and four brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Whitfield. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass in the church. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
