Florence M. Miller

Florence "Babe" M. (Jacobs) Miller, 94, of Reading, died March 28, 2009 in ManorCare of Laureldale.

Her husband, Leon R. Miller, Sr. passed away in 1994.

Born May 15, 1914 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Howard W. and Gertrude E. (Hinnershitz) Jacobs.

Babe, as her friends and family referred to her, was honored for her participation in the Womans Softball League. She played for the Kauffman Maids and the Rising Sun.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet E. (Miller), widow of Frederick Kleffel, Sr., Shoemakersville; four grandchildren: Perianne Bieber, Richard Miller, Frederick Kleffel, Bradley Kleffel; and five great-grandchildren: Jonathan Bieber, Lauren Miller, Evan Miller, Conner Kleffel and Brynley Kleffel.

Florence was predeceased by her son, Leon R. Miller, Jr. in 2005.
